A review with a clear finish.

Stereo or immersive, streaming target or broadcast spec, the workflow is the same. It ends with a reviewed mix, not a folder of voice memos.

Six of eight delivery targets are stereo or broadcast.

Load a plain two-channel WAV and you get the full review workflow: the same loudness engine, timecoded notes, phase and spectrum analysis, A/B compare, exports and email report. Only the 7.1.4 Speaker Room and the 3D Object Visualizer are immersive-specific.

Stereo in. Email report out.

Load a plain two-channel WAV and Pro selects Engine v2 automatically. Loudness, timecoded notes, phase, spectrum, A/B compare and export all stay in the same review window.

Enter sender and recipient, then press Send. Your client receives an HTML email report with the notes, exact timecodes, severities, loudness figures and a screenshot of the review window.

Eight delivery targets. One badge.

Pick your target and the Integrated LUFS card compares your measurement against that platform’s LUFS and True Peak ceiling, then shows Pass / Warn / Fail. Range, Short-term, True Peak, Short-term Max and Momentary Max sit underneath.

Per-channel PPM for all twelve channels with OVER indicators, polled continuously. Reset clears the Integrated measurement and re-accumulates from now. Export Report writes the loudness compliance report as PDF.

Two real review notes in frame: one Critical range note, one Minor point note, markers on the timeline.

Notes that are already timecoded.

  • Point Note: press N during playback. The note lands at the exact playhead time and opens for editing. Playback never stops.
  • Range Note: drag a region on the timeline, press Enter. The note is attached to that span, not a single instant.
  • Severity: Critical (red) or Minor (cyan). Status: click to cycle Open, Checking, Done.
  • General Note for impressions that aren’t tied to a timecode. Search and filter by text, status or severity. Undo and redo with ⌘Z / ⇧⌘Z.
  • There is no Save button. Every note is written to a local database the moment you finish editing it. Quit, come back next week, load the same file: notes, statuses, severities and the General Note are exactly where you left them.

One click. Your client gets a report, not a voice memo.

Fill sender and recipient, press Send. The recipient receives an HTML report with your notes, timecodes, severities, loudness figures and a screenshot of the window.

  • CSV export, respecting your current filters.
  • JSON export with the full note data, including General Note, platform target and measurements.
  • PDF loudness compliance report.
  • DAW Markers (.mid): standard SMF markers plus a matching .txt, importable into Logic and Pro Tools. Set the BPM field to your song tempo so markers land precisely.

Phase, spectrum, and an honest A/B.

Phase correlation, 31-band spectrum and the A/B card, reading live.

Analytics that catch what ears miss.

  • Phase Correlation, −1 to +1. Near +1 is mono-compatible; near 0 is wide, normal for immersive; negative, especially ≤ −0.3, is out of phase: go listen in mono.
  • Spectrum: 31-band real-time energy.
  • A/B Compare: load a second file as B and switch while playing with the \ key. UTUVO aligns B automatically and shows the offset in ms or samples. Notes taken while B is active are tagged B.
Player Pro window showing the output device, sample-rate warning, 24 fps timecode, locked range, waveform, limiter and output trimPlayer Pro window showing the output device, sample-rate warning, 24 fps timecode, locked range, waveform, limiter and output trim
One frame shows the live output device, sample-rate mismatch, 24 fps timecode, locked range, two-layer waveform, limiter and trim.

The details engineers actually notice.

  • Switch output device during playback without stopping.
  • Sample-rate match indicator: the chip describes the file, and next to it the app compares the file rate with the rate your output device is actually running. Green dot means matched; amber tells you when macOS is resampling your output, with the device rate on hover. It deliberately does not claim more than the nominal rate.
  • Timecode frame-rate chip, read from the file’s Dolby metadata. Green matches the Dolby Atmos Music delivery spec (24 fps is a MUST); amber does not; grey means the file states no frame rate, unverified rather than a pass.
  • Two-layer waveform: a light peak outline over a solid RMS core. The gap is your crest factor at a glance.
  • Soft-clip limiter and ±dB output trim, double-click to zero.
  • Locked Range + Loop: drag a region, hit loop, and that section repeats while you work on it.

When the file is immersive, Pro is the high-end mode.

The Top Monitoring View lays out all twelve channels in their spatial positions.

Twelve channels, one glance, every one soloable.

The 7.1.4 Speaker Room lays out L / R / C / LFE / Ls / Rs / Lrs / Rrs / Ltf / Rtf / Ltr / Rtr in their spatial positions, with Solo and Mute per speaker.

  • Group pills (Front / Side / Rear / Top / LFE) select a whole tier at once, and Shift-click adds across groups.
  • Speaker glow: while playing, each speaker lights up with the level of its own channel. Off / Subtle / Standard / Strong.
  • Metering is taken before mute, so the PPM keeps showing source levels while you audition a single speaker.

Captured after quitting and reopening beta.11: the General Note and all three timecoded notes returned with their timecodes, status and severity.

Everything stays on your Mac.

Notes are written to a local database as you work. Reopen the same file and Pro restores the General Note, point and range notes, timecodes, severities and statuses.

The shipping-build receipt for this image records a full quit and relaunch with all three notes and the General Note intact.

Asked often enough.

Is there a download link?

Yes. The current public build is signed, notarized and stapled. Double-click the DMG, drag UTUVO Player Pro into the Applications folder, then open it from there. The first launch is offline. The version number and the exact SHA-256 are on the Downloads page, taken from the release record so they cannot go stale here.

Does it ship for iOS?

No iOS build. UTUVO Player Pro runs on macOS only.

Can I send notes by email?

Yes, as one of four output paths. Sending uploads the note text, loudness readings and one screenshot to UTUVO’s own endpoint (api.utuvo.app/send-notes), not a third party.

Does MIDI export keep my Chinese notes?

MIDI has no Traditional Chinese encoding, so marker names are ASCII (index + summary). The full Chinese text lives in the .txt sidecar.
